Cycling Trivialities lyrics

Songwriters: Gonzalez, Jose

Too blind to know your best.
Hurrying through the forks without regrets.
Different now, every step feels like a mile.
All the lights seem to flash and pass you by.

So how's it gonna be.
When it all comes down you're cycling trivialities.

Don't know which way to turn.
Every trifle becoming big concerns.
All this time you were chasing dreams,
without knowing what you wanted them to mean.

So how's it gonna be.
When it all comes down you're cycling trivialities.
So how's it gonna be.
When it all comes down you're cycling trivialities.

Who cares in a hundred years from now.
All the small steps, all your shitty clouds.
Who cares in a hundred years from now.
Who'll remember all the players.
Who'll remember all the clowns.

So how's it gonna be.
When it all comes down you're cycling trivialities.

So what does this really mean.
When it all comes down you're cycling trivialities.
Cycling trivialities.
Cycling trivialities

People don't realize their full potential in life...they run through every day so fast and never slow down. Everything has become routine and people don't think before they act. Every step you take feels like a mile means where are you going? Anywhere? Its as if you're running in place, not taking any action. Everything passes you by so fast and you wonder whats in store after this thing we call life? So hows it gonna be in the end...whos going to remember all the loud mouths and sly cats? Do they even matter...? You don't know really what to do...you look around and people worry about everything they can think of. And all this time you have been dreaming of doing something but you've never put it into action...once again back to the every step seems like a mile verse. you never find out what you actually wanted from those dreams...why did you want them to come true although they havent? So who gives a shit a hundred years from now what some human being did...? Whos going to acknowledge YOU? So what does this really mean? Well it means be yourself and don't follow the trails people have already taken...put your words into action and make your own legacy, for yourself. I saw Jose Gonzales perform this at Bonnaroo in Manchester, TN this June. It was mesmerizing! This is the music people live for!
