Little ditty about Jack and Diane
2 American kids growin up in the heartland
Jackie gonna be a football star
Diane debutante backseat of Jacky's car
Suckin' on chili dog outside the Tastee Freeze
Diane's sittin' on Jacky's lap
He's got his hand between her knees
Jacky say "Hey Diane lets run off
Hind a shady tree"
Dribble off those Bobby Brooks
Let me do what I please.
Jacky Say uh [ Lyrics from: http://www.lyricsmode.com/lyrics/j/john_mellencamp/jack_diane.html ]
Oh yeah life goes on
Long after the thrill of livin is gone
Oh yeah life goes on
Long after the thrill of livin is gone, they walk on
Jacky sits back collects his thoughts for the moment
Scratches his head and does his best James Dean.
Well you know Diane, we oughtta run of the city
Diane says "Baby, you aint missin' no-thing"
Jacky say a
Chorus
Gonna let it rock
Let it roll
Let the Bible Belt come down
And Save My soul
Hold on to 16 as long as you can
Changes come around real soon
Make us women and men
Chorus
Little dirty about Jack and Diane
Two American kids doing the best they can
The above meaning of the song is why i try so desperately to capture life in all its glory with my camera. Every moment of every day is precious and so i want to capture and freeze time (in a bottle). My photography is listed and available at etsy dot com. L'chaim! Diane is a disillusioned, jaded teenager having already tasted adulthood. Jack on the other hand wants to enjoy the highschool years, enjoy the moment, for these days will be gone within the blink of an eye... Then all of a sudden you're an adult and all you can do is reflect on the memories you're making today. Therefore
"look to this day! For it is life, the very life or life... For yesterday is already a dream, and tomorow is only a vision; but today, well lived, makes every yesterday a dream of happiness, and every tomorrow a vision of hope. " ~tommy z photography
