God is a concept
By which we measure
Our pain
Ill say it again
God is a concept
By which we measure
Our pain
I dont believe in magic
I dont believe in i-ching
I dont believe in bible
I dont believe in tarot
I dont believe in hitler
I dont believe in jesus
I dont believe in kennedy
I dont believe in buddha
I dont believe in mantra
I dont believe in gita
I dont believe in yoga
I dont believe in kings
I dont believe in elvis
I dont believe in zimmerman
I dont believe in beatles
I just believe in me
Yoko and me
And thats reality

The dream is over
What can I say?
The dream is over
I was the dreamweaver
But now Im reborn
I was the walrus
But now Im john
And so dear friends
Youll just have to carry on
The dream is over

John asked dr. Arthur janov about god and the doctor said that the more pain a person has, the more they seek god. John responded: "so god is a concept by which me measure our pain? "

First of all, The lyric's are partialy wrong! This song is about John Lennon, "With the beatles" wrote song's that killed and misslead humans.
After John Lennon retired, God came into his life and taught him what Jesus is doing to the earth and humans. That is why the name of the song is "God"
