Sometimes I kiss my scars
Is this it?
Is it over with?
Sometimes I breathe in deep
Lungs close up I wished you married me
Sometimes I break down
Give up everything
But then I think about you
You`re so strong
You were so strong
It`s been two years since we even talked
But I still call hoping you`ll pick up
It kills me to know you took your life
And no one knows you were my star and sky

Drift away
I could lie and try to say that I`m the same
Don`t watch me cry over your grave
I`ll take a drink maybe two or twenty

Your watching me kiss another on the face
I feel guilty though you aren`t here I don`t dare to erase
I still pay for your phone so I can hear you speak
Hear you...

Drift away
I could lie and try to say that I`m the same
Don`t watch me cry over your grave
I`ll take a drink maybe two or twenty

This song is about a lover whose love of his life killed herself/himself, and about how he can't move on. He feels as if he is at fault for the suicide, he also feels like he can't move on. He wishes they could've gotten married and been together. He's communicating on how much he misses her, and how he still cares. He mentions still paying her phone bill, I feel that's because he wants to keep her voice mail going so he can hear her voice again. He also compliments how strong he thought she was. He can't deal with the fact she never understood how important she was to him, and that he never had the chance to prove how much she meant. In other songs he mentions that he was a self harmer, and he might've had a spike in cuts during this time. He also found someone who can caught his eye, and feels guilty, and can't kiss her without thinking about her death. It's a haunting beautiful song, which sticks with you emotionally for the rest of the day. The fact that he doesn't seem to care what happens to him shows how suicide affects a person.

He self harmed because he was depressed, as he's said before. His girlfriend/crush was going through a rough time, and killed herself. He thinks it's all his fault, and that she couldn't realize how much she meant to him. He thinks that maybe if they had got married, that she wouldn't have done what she did. He can't get over the mourning he's feeling. He's trying to get himself to accept it but he just can't. He's convinced he can cure it all with drinking, but he knows at the same time it will only hide the pain.
