He cries in the corner where nobody sees
He's the kid with the story no one would believe
He prays every night, "Dear God won't you please...
Could you send someone here who will love me?"

Who will love me for me
Not for what I have done or what I will become
Who will love me for me
'Cause nobody has shown me what love
What love really means

Her office is shrinking a little each day
She's the woman whose husband has run away
She'll go to the gym after working today
Maybe if she was thinner
Then he would've stayed
And she says...

Who will love me for me?
Not for what I have done or what I will become
Who will love me for me?
'Cause nobody has shown me what love, what love really means

He's waiting to die as he sits all alone
He's a man in a cell who regrets what he's done
He utters a cry from the depths of his soul
"Oh Lord, forgive me, I want to go home"

Then he heard a voice somewhere deep inside
And it said
"I know you've murdered and I know you've lied
I have watched you suffer all of your life
And now that you'll listen, I'll tell you that I..."

I will love you for you
Not for what you have done or what you will become
I will love you for you
I will give you the love
The love that you never knew

I found that my life I was searching for someone who would love me, then God gave me my children, and I've searched no more. I still single after 30 years, but I feel loved by my family and my friends and most of all MY GOD!

The Heavenly Father is the Author of that kind of love. He is the One the Bible talks about and Jesus came to testify about and bridge the gap between us and the Father because of our selfishness, greed, etc. Thank God for His indescribable love and grace!

This song keeps touching me and inspiring me. Everytime I listen to it I get a new message from God. I get chills and goose bumps because it is God speaking through me. I have downloaded it from itunes and just now searech for the lyrics. Its funny because after listening to it for over 30 times now, I just picked up on they lyric of the man who "murdered." I thought the lyric was "I know you Heard and I know you lied." I am working on a screenplay about alcoholism and this song has given me so many ideas for it. I am even planning on using this song in the Soundtrack. Here is me making BIG plans and leaping with HIS HELP! We can do ALL things with HIS help! Lost but now FOUND.
Lots of love and peace to us all!

I visit the local prison about 3 times per week to visit my son. It is a minimum security facility, but when I look around my heart breaks. No one, on one should ever be thrown away and forgotten and so many of these men are. Just forgotten. Most never get even one visit. How can they believe a God they can't see will love them if their own family doesn't? We all need to reach out to these people behind bars and show them that people DO care and they ARE worth something to someone - especially God.

I heard this song on the radio today. I loved it so much I had to look up the lyrics, this song captures the true meaning of God's never ending love, I understand this song. You sometimes have to suffer before you realize how much Jesus loves you, I was very sick 2 years ago and struggling. I was very, very sad. Not what you would expect of an 11 year old child. My parents bought a headboard from a thrift store and it was evil, I saw horrifying things and I didn't tell my own parents. I was tortured. Those things happen to Christians. We found out that the headboard was evil a few months ago. My dad burned it. My point of saying all this is I didn't realize how much God loved me until I had suffered. I am now 13 years old and much more mature than I was before those scary things happened to me. I can really relate to this song because the "he's the kid with the story nobody believes" part. I was the kid, my friends deserted me. After hearing this song I feel like I am not the only one with the stories nobody believed. My mom said no one would ever understand, except God. I have not had friends in years, yet I don't feel lonely. I am never alone. I am loved by someone that will never stop loving me. I am not sure who is reading this, but if you are feeling sad or alone, remember Jesus loves you. It doesn't matter who you are or what you have done, he will always love you.
