For me this song speaks to how unholy I am in the contrast or back drop of the holiness of God. It is a prayer asking God to strip me of anything that does not bring Him glory, anything that is profane in His sight. It is a prayer of surrender to the Lord, humbling myself to allow only Him to be revealed in me.
