The song is saying that everyoune feels like that, and the whole point is to strive for your dreams. You won't get anywhere without effort and ultimately, it may take a while but you get what you give out, you reap what you sow.
It says 'we all spit at stars' which is a metaphor which means that we all have dreams and aspirations that seem as impossible as spitting at stars but it then goes on to say 'who knows your spit may land on mars', signifying the fact that nothings impossible and unreachable and with perservation, positivity and the right attitude we can all suceed in our dreams.
