In Your justice and Your mercy
Heaven walked the broken road
Here to fight this sinner's battle
Here to make my fall Your own

Turn my eyes to see Your face
As all my fears surrender
Hold my heart within this grace
Where burden turns to wonder

I will fight to follow
I will fight for love
To throw my life forever
Into the triumph of the Son

Let Your love be my companion
In the war against my pride
Long to break all vain obsession
Till You're all that I desire

Turn my eyes to see Your face
As all my fears surrender
Hold my heart within this grace
Where burden turns to wonder

I will fight to follow
I will fight for love
To throw my life forever
Into the triumph of the Son

And I know Your love has won it all
You took the fall
To embrace my sorrows
I know You took the fight
You came and died but the grave was borrowed
I know You stood again
So I can stand with a life to follow
In the light of Your name

When you feels like you are a siner you know... but God forgiven when Jesus died and resurrected. He washed away our sind. So I think this is a war in your heart when you can't accept His grace and you feels like a siner. Get over it and help others! :) (sorry if my english wasnt perfect :D i hope you understand)

Jesus fought the battle for us! Now we need to fight our flesh (throw off the things of sin) and become the new creation God has created us to be. I will fight to follow. I will fight for love. I will fight myself, die to myself, and be risen with Christ...born again! Amen.

If He loved me enough to die so that I could live, then yes God is love and The Lord is a warrior!

I will Fight to follow. I Will even get to those desperate measures of attaining success such as ''fighting''. Will battle to be restored. Love is certainly war. Physically and emotionally. We fight with emotions inside us when we love something and want to defend it. When we love something or someone, we always gt ourselves in a battle of emotions with ourselves as we try to wash away our current state to accomodate new ones. Perfect title, perfect lyrics and ultimately perfect meaning. We all have to battle ourselves to attain the holy spirit. We have to invite God in a battle against our sinned selves. Lets all surrender. Yebo. Thats it.

Ms. Thatcher, I think you may have not understood the real meaning of this song. Love is a war! it might not be literal blood battle, but Jesus disarmed the forces of darkness by fighting for us! Heb 2:14-18 and Heb 12:1-2 We could not do it on our own but now if we are born again, the Holy Spirit gives us power to fight the enemy! We have to fight everyday to choose Him, to love Him, to live for Him in a fight against sin and the enemy! we are in a war- eph 6:12 "For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places" ultimately God is the one fighting for us, but we prove our love to Him by obeying His commands and not giving up but being steadfast
