Five words, five words is all it would take.
Five words to change your heart and mind.
In the heat of the sun I know you’re the only one.
You still can’t hold yourself together
.

Alone... Alone... all alone
You have this conversation to satisfy your most intimate inner thoughts.
Then you bite your lip when it matters most.
A shade of red in sight.
Can you taste the blood?
Taste it on your lips.

Rip the seam then I’ll show you,
How the strings become the stitches in your mouth.
In your silence we are louder.
When the strings become the stitches in your mouth.

Your growing imagination preparing you for what your heart requires to say.

Five words, repeating over in your head.
That’s all you ever have to do.
Five words. Is it really that hard to say?
You’re worth more than this
You’re worth more than this.

Rip the seam then I’ll show you,
How the strings become the stitches in your mouth.
In your silence we are louder.
When the strings become the stitches in your mouth.

Rip the seam then I’ll show you,
How the strings become the stitches in your mouth.
In your silence we are louder.
When the strings become the stitches in your mouth.

It is about seeing a loved one doing something that is hurting them;drinking too much, drugs, etc etc and not saying anything to them about it.The song is saying we should tell them they are worth more than this.

Speak up for those who cannot do it themselves. Be there for those who need it and show you care, show them they are important to you and to the world. Tell those who need it just how important they are.

I don't understand it! ♠ I think it's about the process we're through when we want to say somethong but it becomes so hard to say. But well it's kind of difficult.

Speak up for the lost. Speak up for those who cannot. Sometimes we stay back and just follow the crowd as if we are too embarrassed, as if speaking up about what is right will make us unpopular or uncool. We all could use a little encouragement sometimes and who knows all it might take is for someone to speak up. If that's you than by all means do it!
