THERE ROSE A LAMB

IT WAS THE THIRD DAY SINCE HE DIED
AND IT WAS SAID HE WOULD ARISE
THEN FROM THE GRAVE HIS PLAN CAME FORTH
OH I HAVE REASON TO REJOYCE

HE CHOSE THE PLACE, HE CHOSE THE HOUR
THAT HE WOULD RISE BY HIS OWN POWER
A SACRIFICE THREE DAYS AGO
AND NOW PRAISE GOD THE LAMB AROSE

CORO
THERE ROSE A LAMB IN JERUSALEM
HE WAS THE SON OF THE GREAT I AM
HE PROVED TO BE MY VICTORY
THERE ROSE A LAMB IN JERUSALEM

I WASN`T THERE WHEN JESUS DIED
I WASN`T THERE TO SEE HIM RISE
BUT I WAS THERE WHEN HE SAVED MY SOUL
FOR WITHIN MY HEART HIS LOVE AROSE

CORO
THERE ROSE A LAMB IN JERUSALEM
HE WAS THE SON OF THE GREAT I AM
HE PROVED TO BE MY VICTORY
THERE ROSE A LAMB IN JERUSALEM

HE ROSE, HE ROSE HALELUYA CHRIST AROSE
HE ROSE, HE ROSE HALELUYA CHRIST AROSE
HE PROVED TO ME MY VICTORY
THERE ROSE A LAMB IN JERUSALEM

Jesus is referred to as the "lamb". A lamb
in jesus was required to atone for sin. It had to be a spotless lamb, pure and with
no blemishes. But, this type of sacrifice
was not enough, so jesus himself chose to
be the sacrificial lamb, and he did rise on the
3rd day after being crucified. Praise his name

Jesus is the sacrificial lamb, gods only son,who saved us from our sins and gave us the victory over sin and death by his death on the cross. His ressurection on easter is the proof, and thats all i need!
