Its saying that if you keep putting it behind you
and waiting for things before you tell "him" you love him
then it will be too late

its basically saying dont keep waiting and stop having doubts
because before you know if he loves you back you have to tell him you love him

Its such a beautiful song with a powerful message

you can wait. wait till the "right time" or the perfect signs. but he might be gone by then. or you could just take your chances and tell the truth.

I think everyone needs to take this peice of advice in alot of different situations!
