If I ever leave this world alive
I'll thank for all the things you did in my life
If I ever leave this world alive
I'll come back down and sit beside your
Feet tonight
Wherever I am you'll always be
More than just a memory
If I ever leave this world alive [ Lyrics from: http://www.lyricsmode.com/lyrics/f/flogging_molly/if_i_ever_leave_this_world_alive.html ]
If I ever leave this world alive
I'll take on all the sadness
That I left behind
If I ever leave this world alive
The madness that you feel will soon subside
So in a word don't she'd a tear
I'll be here when it all gets weird
If I ever leave this world alive
So when in doubt just call my name
Just before you go insane
If I ever leave this world
Hey I may never leave this world
But if I ever leave this world alive
She says I'm okay; I'm alright,
Though you have gone from my life
You said that it would,
Now everything should be all right
She says I'm okay; I'm alright,
Though you have gone from my life
You said that it would,
Now everything should be all right
Yeah should be alright
I think i have been asleep for too long and feel awakened listening to flogging molly. I am a "plastic paddy" by birth and proud of my heritage. I love singing old and new songs and felt moved when i first heard this song. Float is another great song which makes you think about life. I hope to see the band in the future. I think they would be brilliant to see all under one roof with damien dempsey, pogues and sharon shannon. This would
bring, punk, rock , folk together for one mad session. "the 'craic' would be mighty"

This song was introduced to me by my brother, who could not find the right words to say after my boyfriend was killed in a car accident. So he called me up and told me to listen to this song, and i did and i know that this is what josh would have wanted to say to me if he was given the chance, and like the lyrics say, she says i'm okay, i'm alright though you have gone from my life, you said it would now everything should be all right. Thank you for this song.
I love this song and it will be played at my funeral. It reminds me of my first dog and what he would have told me before he passed away, it also explains the unexplainable emotions that you would want your loved ones to understand when you have passed
