Where are you Christmas
Why can't I find you
Why have you gone away
Where is the laughter
You used to bring me
Why can't I hear music play
My world is changing
I'm rearranging
Does that mean Christmas changes too [ Lyrics from: http://www.lyricsmode.com/lyrics/f/faith_hill/where_are_you_christmas.html ]
Where are you Christmas
Do you remember
The one you used to know
I'm not the same one
See what the time's done
Is that why you have let me go
Christmas is here
Everywhere, oh
Christmas is here
If you care, oh
If there is love in your heart and your mind
You will feel like Christmas all the time
I feel you Christmas
I know I've found you
You never fade away
The joy of Christmas
Stays here inside us
Fills each and every heart with love
Where are you Christmas
Fills your heart with love

Christmas isn't about the presents and contests. Christmas means spending time with the people you love and care about. About having fun. Christmas means so much more.

As world is changing, people change and likewise love change. Only if we can go back to the old world to pick that old love.

I makes me feel sad to know how many kids as they grow up begin to lose the christmas spirit.

I think of this as meaning that that as we get older the magic of christmas just starts to fade away. Everything gets boring and it just becomes about what you get. We should all just spend christmas like little kids and enjoy it.

Too often, the true spirit of christmas is obscured by the excitement of counterfeit deeds and doings. The key to christmas is, as the song says, having "love in your heart and mind" that reciprocates the divine - "for god so loved the world that he sent is son. " if my buying, partying, and giving is for any other reason than true love, christmas will lack the full measure of genuine joy it deservers.

The writer is going through changes; possibly losing someone she cares about. They used to be filled with joy at christmas but this year they are having a hard time feeling the spirit. They search all christmas season for that childish joy. Finally on christmas, they realize that christmas never left them. It is always there, always waiting to be revived when we are willing to open our hearts and fill them with love. That's all it takes to feel the same nostalgic wonderfulness we got at christmas when we were children. That's all it is: love.
