And with these humble tools
We can trigger any emotion we choose
But we'll just settle to pump out repeated relics diluted with time
You see the airwaves are clogged up
But the fickle they, lap it up
They need to be drowned in condiments
And left to Ponder Sense
Warm Smiles, They Do Not Make You Welcome Here (x2)
Snap Back To Reality
The turbulence is throwing us from side to side
But no matter how hard you try
Surrounded by cannon fodder inundated with stagnant Sounds [ Lyrics from: http://www.lyricsmode.com/lyrics/e/enter_shikari/warm_smiles_do_not_make_you_welcome_here.html ]
You see the airwaves are clogged up
But the fickle they, lap it up
They need to be drowned in condiments
And left to Ponder Sense
Warm smiles, they do not make you welcome here (x2)
Transformation in Progress
Transformation in progress, transformation complete
Lightning strikes, A Flash Flood Of Colour
Lightning strikes, I can't stand the heat
Lightning strikes, A Flash Flood Of Colour
I... I... I... I can't stand the heat
A Flash Flood Of Colour
Warm smiles, they do not make you welcome here (x6)

It's a song about generic music. Shikari said so themselves. With instruments we can make anything we choose, but instead industrys pump out the exact same song over and over again.

I think it's a bit more specific than that - sounds to me like there are some references to haarp in there? If you've never heard of it look it up, but it's basically a device owned by the us military, that is believed by many, to manipulate magnetic waves in order to control the weather. Many theorists suggested it was the cause of the earthquakes in haiti and japan...

Is this not about the music industry? And how it's just 'stagnant sounds' that 'clog up the airwaves' etc.

Ive been trying to figure this song out as of late, and it being one of my favorites, i spent some time on it. It feels to me that this song is portraying the ignorance of human kind and how those who see past the fog (or can pay their way through it) are in control, while those left blind just live on content with never knowing. Its a long shot i suppose, but its what im getting out of it

Its not that they let go every band has to evolve yes take to the skies was awesome but this is what they have always wanted making an album about morality which is basicly take to the skies then local issues then global common dreads then affoc it's perfect and there sound has gotten better they learned to mix their hardcore and electronic more effectively any dedicated fan would stick with them no matter what anyway
