I took my love and I took it down
Climbed a mountain then I turned around
And I saw my reflection in the snow covered hills
Well the landslide brought me down
Oh, mirror in the sky
What is love?
Can the child within my heart rise above
Can I sail through the changing ocean tides
Can I handle the seasons of my life
Uh ah ... uh ah .... uh ah ...
Well, I've been afraid of changin'
'Cause I built my life around you
But time makes you bolder
Children get older
I'm getting older too
Well ...
(Instrumental)
Well, I've been afraid of changin'
'Cause I built my life around you
But time makes you bolder
Children get older
I'm getting older too
Well, I'm getting older too
So, take this love and take it down
Yeah, and if you climb a mountain and ya turn around
And If you see my reflection in the snow covered hills
Well the landslide brought me down
If you see my reflection in the snow covered hills
I can very clearly remember listening to this song in the car when I was like 5 with my mom. I loved it ever since. :) I think it's maybe about growing up, but in a sense you wish you weren't.
if i'm not mistaken it;s about a ski trip nicks took to tahoe, winter of 72 with jackson brown and david crosby...reminescing of days gone by and david hittin a tree and causin an avalance... but maybe that was low ride... dunno
This song was originally performed by Stevie Nicks of Fleetwood Mac in 1975. It has a couple different meanings. My interpretation is that it deals with the age where you are growing up, but you wish you weren't growing up just yet. The "landslide" is life's way of making you grow up and mature whether you like it or not.
