What will we do with the drunken whaler
What will we do with the drunken whaler
What will we do with the drunken whaler
Early in the Morning
Way hey and up she rises
Way hey and up she rises
Way hey and up she rises
Early in the morning
Stuff him in a sack and throw him over
Stuff him in a sack and throw him over
Stuff him in a sack and throw him over
Early in the morning
Feed him to the hungry rats for dinner
Feed him to the hungry rats for dinner
Feed him to the hungry rats for dinner
Early in the morning
Way hey and up she rises
Way hey and up she rises
Way hey and up she rises
Early in the morning
Shoot him through the heart with a loaded pistol
Shoot him through the heart with a loaded pistol
Shoot him through the heart with a loaded pistol
Early in the morning
Slice his throat with a rusty cleaver
Slice his throat with a rusty cleaver
Slice his throat with a rusty cleaver
Early in the morning
Way hey and up she rises
Way hey and up she rises
Way hey and up she rises
Early in the morning

This song, "The Drunken Whaler" was based off the "The Drunken Sailor". A song from the 19th century, that was sea-shanty popular by military naval men. The video game dishonored used this song and turned it into "The Drunken Whaler" sung by a little girl, who I suppose to be the little girl that you must save in the game. It's really interesting to see that a happy-good mood song as "The Drunken Sailor" which is used as a productive song turns into a sad or demoralizing song, where a plague has struck, the Black Plague in a sort of respect, and is causing people to change. It's also funny that a Whaler is Drunk because in the game dishonored the setting is powered and survives due to whale. Interesting for the design team to go with this gruesome/creepy pathway.
