I'll mow your lawn, clean the leaves out your drain
I'll mend your roof to keep out the rain
I'll take the work that God provides
I'm a Jack of all trades, honey, we'll be alright

I'll hammer the nails, and I'll set the stone
I'll harvest your crops when they're ripe and grown
I'll pull that engine apart and patch her up 'til she's running right
I'm a Jack of all trades, we'll be alright

A hurricane blows, brings a hard rain
When the blue sky breaks, feels like the world's gonna change
We'll start caring for each other like Jesus said that we might
I'm a Jack of all trades, we'll be alright

The banker man grows fatter, the working man grows thin
It's all happened before and it'll happen again
It'll happen again, they'll bet your life
I'm a Jack of all trades and, darling, we'll be alright

Now sometimes tomorrow comes soaked in treasure and blood
Here we stood the drought, now we'll stand the flood
There's a new world coming, I can see the light
I'm a Jack of all trades, we'll be alright

So you use what you've got, and you learn to make do
You take the old, you make it new
If I had me a gun, I'd find the bastards and shoot 'em on sight
I'm a Jack of all trades, we'll be alright
I'm a Jack of all trades, we'll be alright

I think this song is telling us that we should thank god for what we have, 911 took so much away from us, our loved ones, our trust, our dreams and left many children to grow up broken and torn. But through all the tragedy" we'll be alright" we have our pride and we have our god who said" fear not, for i am with you always !!!

Must be direct communication with "the" higher power. Be the jack of all trades and it'll be alright. A song to all who'll hear it. Learn it and sing it often. Thank you

I just heard this beautiful song for the first time and got choked up before he finished the first line, b/c i knew exactly what the song was going to be about... Men and women doing whatever menial work is necessary to take care of their families in these hard times... That's the america i've known for almost 60 years and the america my parents and granparents knew. When he sang, ''there's a new world comin', i can see the light'', all i could think of was that america has always been the light to the world, but as of the last few years, not so much... Unfortunate choices over time, in this nation, have made us yearn for what this country once stood for... Liberty, and the persuit of happiness, which is all we're guaranteed from the time we take our first breath... The rest is up to us as individuals, to be the best that we can be... That's what will make america great again... God bless everyone in the usa to know how important they are to the greatness of this ''one nation under god. '' dcp new jersey

This hits home with me. The bank destroyed our business and practically ruined our employees and all the famalies. But we'll be alright.
