You Asked For It, You Paid For It
Get What You Deserve
You Wanted It The Benefit
How Does It Feel, Worse?
Your Good As Gold Around Your Neck
Look Over Your Shoulder
Your Conscience Kills Your Constant Thrills
Shallow Makeover.
Hide In Your Eyes
Dancing In The Bright Lights
Take Out The Knife
This Brush Just Doesn't Feel Right
Hide In Your Eyes
Mirrors Tell The Worst Lies
Cover It Up.
Split At The Ends And Lost At The Teeth
Foundation Is Older
And Still Your Paid From The Cuts You've Made
Shallow Makeover.
Your Good As Gold
Your Conscience Kills
Spit At The Ends
How Does It Feel?

Put in the worlds of bc, "shallow makeover. "
You change yourself physically because you feel that you aren't good enough, even though you consciously know that it isn't the right thing to do. And in the end, it isn't even worth it.

This song condemns materialism, and it's consequences.
The main message is that, by sacrificing your morality for pleasure, you lose yourself to it, and it catches up to you eventually in the form of your conscience. The song states that "your conscience kills your constant thrills" which clearly says that by doing so, you lose not only your morality, but also the pleasure making you "good as gold" (as gold has no intrinsic value other than what it is given by us) -worthless-.

I think that this is mainly saying that like if you wanted it... you can't regret it, because you wanted it to happen.. and it's hard to hide the mistakes that you've made because everyone points out the flaws instead of the good things..
