I come to the garden alone
While the dew is still on the roses
And the voice I hear falling on my ear
The son of God discloses

And He walks with me
And He talks with me
And He tells me I am His own
And the joy we share as we tarry there
None other has ever known

He speaks and the sound of His voice
Is so sweet that the birds hush their singing
And the melody that He gave to me
Within my heart is ringing

And He walks with me
And He talks with me
And He tells me I am His own
And the joy we share as we tarry there
None other has ever known

And the joy we share as we tarry there
None other has ever known

It was a special song to me as it was my grandpa's favorite. I remember when we had hymn singing in church i would rush to find the song and call it out just for him as it always brought a smile to his face. It tells me that god is always there with me no matter what trials or tribulations i am going through. I can rely on him for anything.

That the garden may be figurative or it may be literal, but if we give our lives to serving him that we will get a knowledge of the true gospel of christ. And that his words are so powerful even when hushed. And that we will find joy in the lords words and works.

My dad passed on in 1994. He was a simple, quiet man. But he often times communicated with us in his silence.
I only wished i could be with him more often. During his last day in changi hospital, i watched him slowly succumbing to cancer, and during that time, i was trying to walk with him, talk with him like jesus does with each and every one of us.
    I love you, dad

My mom passed away 1/15/2012 after a 37 year battle with m. S. Many of these years not being able to walk and hardly move or talk clearly. This song is her favorite and it makes believe she is now walking, running and jumping like she hasn't done for so many years in heaven with jesus.

My dad passed this november. He was a vegetable farmer who i'm sure had many walks and talks over the years while out in the fields working and worrying. I find solace by listening to this song picturing him walking and talking with our lord on a beautiful farm in heaven with no more worries.
