Barney – I Love You lyrics

I love you You love me
We're a happy family
With a great big hug and a kiss from me to you.
Won't you say you love me too
I love you You love me
We're best friends like friends should be
With a great big hug and a kiss from me to you.
Won't you say you love me too
I love you You love me
We're a happy family
With a great big hug and a kiss from me to you.
Won't you say you love me too
I love you You love me
We're best friends like friends should be
With a great big hug and a kiss from me to you.
Won't you say you love me too

I love this song! My Gramma made me watch the show and I loved it! The song just makes me want to cry in joy as I hear it. After a bad day at work (I pick up feces as a job) I just turn on this song and it makes me feel really good. It also gives me a lot of thoughts, for example: when they say I love you I think about how no one loves me, I don't have a family, I don't have anyone to hug, then I realized my tears were tears to unhappiness not joy. The song makes me feel all different kinds of emotions. Happy, sad, depressed, and so on. Anyone want to make me feel better? I need friends. Now. Really. I'm just sitting here addicted to this song because it puts me into this deep train of thought I cannot escape. Help me please.

My niece loves this love song. It has great touching soulful words that she has to listen to it everyday at least 10 times before she goes to bed. She is only 15 yrs old but loves Barney still. We think that Barney has touched her in a very loving way. People from the poor worlds don't understand what the louf is all about. But the people all do. Love is that.

I used to sing this song with my entire family before bed. It was a family tradition, and I remember always watching Barney, which although I am 13, I still don't mind watching it sometimes, I would always be super excited for when the Barney song came on. I love this awesome program, and I know that when I am older, my kids will definitely be watching this, and the family tradition will continue. And Barney is not pathetic, it is a happy go lucky kids TV show that teaches kids important life lessons. If you don't like it, no one ever said you had to watch it.

Heard these words and thought I would Google it to see what the origins of the song "I love you and you Love me". I was very surprised to learn it was from a Kids TV Programme. Just reading the testimonies of those who said how profondingly this song has impacted you, I think it a great thing. The lyrics of the song while simple and aimed at kids, points out something we often take for granted... our human need to love and to be loved. There was mention of people in oppressed regions of this world of ours. Some of those children are more secure in spite of their world falling down around them then children in western countries. Those children in the war thorn countries, feel loved by their parents and secure in the presence of their families despite what goes on around them. In western countries, there are children who have everything, the latest gadgets, you name it, but suffer in loneliness of not feeling the love and affection of their family. Observing this I come to realise that love is not just a feeling it is a choice we make. Having children on my own, I have come to realise this more fully. Sometimes the kids can play up and stress one very badly, but given all that, we make a choice to love them and if we love them unconditionally, we forgive them and begin again, and again, and again... and that is the store of love... to make a choice to love someone, no matter what you feel about them in that moment, and to forgive them and start again. I was fortunate to have a very loving and caring mother, I was no saint, but know that she had loved me very much and I cannot count how many times she would have had to pardon me for all the times I upset her. Bless her.

To the person who wrote the thread on Dec 22 2011. I am sorry you feel Love is not real. If love is a feeling then like feelings they soon pass. But when you make a decision or a choice to love... that does not change. When the recipient of that love experiences such a gift, can choose again to respond in kind to this gift. Love is real, very real and it is a choice not a feeling. Decide to love some (not in the sexual sense) but to care about them, to see to their needs to make them happy... and I am sure you will find that love is real.
