Sidewinder lyrics

by LycanWolf on Aug 04, 2009 at 04:57 PM Show           your debating that... has anyone noticed the name? sidewinder... hmmm, i wonder... if u ask me it is pretty obvious of a snake with the venom, fangs, shedding of skin, rattling in beggining, name, and so forth.

by MrFranBrO on Jun 20, 2009 at 01:57 AM Show           Idk I kind of interpreted this as temtations from the devil to Adam and Eve thinking about the venomous bite being when adam and eve bit into the apple that god forbided cursing us all. Idk but now i see that its probably about a snake.

"I slide through the wasteland that's my world...I shed my skin tonight..." Last time I checked vampires didn't slide around or shed their skin, but vampires could be another meaning for this song. Snakes seem more likely though.

"Sidewinder was basically just to paint a picture of human greed and human nature in the form of a snake. Sliding through the desert, hunting and killing, doing what feels natural. I compared it to a snake because I feel sometimes society makes us hide our human nature and we get punished for natural feelings and instincts."
