I think its about a failing/failed relationship.

Sounds almost like mine, and my boyfriend is singing this about me or something...
Example:

Like when i sit in silence, thoughts burning, then they come out and don't make any sense, or at least that's how he'll make me feel, and it make everything worse...

Being different and set apart not knowing what to, just looking in on others trying things to see how they affect yourself. Devoid of any outside advice from man or god, no beliefs except for yourself which others simply can't understand. You've tried but, the discomfort makes you break and fall and that's why you never tell anyone what's going on. Venegful thoughts from being created this way, selfishness from being all you know feeding yourself is all you know. I love this song, but really it does sound like at the end the person in the song is going to kill himself, 'reached inside'

I think the song is about depression. What it does to you, and how when your depressed you usually don't tell "whatever's on your mind".
