alexthomasdavis – The Guard lyrics

Why would you lie
Put your job right on the line

Eating humble pie
Have you really got no spine
Everyday I see you smile
But is it really worth your while
Everyday a nod or wink
Is just enough to make you think
There's a ufo
In a clearing in the woods
Just report it joe
Do you really think you should

La la la

This song is about the Rendlesham Forest incident, where a security guard for the M O D saw a UFO in the woods at his army base. He went to investigate with a friend and saw a spacecraft, so he reached out to touch it and received a lot of Binary Code (see that song also) which was later translated - many years later - on computer, and it was a message, like a warning about how we are wrecking the environment, and we have to stop.
