alexthomasdavis – Hope 4 U Yet lyrics

Just when you thought you'd lost your mind
Your poker hand wins the big blind
Your veggie girl cooks bacon rind
Hooray hooray
Just when you thought you'd lost your heart
The start of the football season starts
The place where you work employs a tart

Woohay woohay
There's hope for you yet
Just when you thought you'd lost your home
The bank where you bank lends you a loan

You manage to resell all your chrome
Hooray hooray
Just when you thought you'd lost your soul
Your fire keeps burning logs and coal
No-one can steal your rock and roll
Woohay woohay
There's hope for you yet

This song stems from the football line in the song, and works around that rhythmically and lyrically. The song has a 'volume' chorus on the guitar. I think this is the only song I've written like this. That is to say there is nothing amazing done with chord sequences, but instead it just gets a bit louder on the volume, with a bit more rhythm. Its about having hope in your heart when things are looking bleak. There will be a brighter day.
