alexthomasdavis – Old Hippy lyrics
All those things you said
Mean nothing to me

I could lie in bed
Life is just a breeze
Careful where you tread
Don't apply to me
Gonna grow my hair
Be an old hippy
Sometimes you love me
Sometimes you don't
But if you knew me
You'd build a moat

Gonna take some things
Leave this old country
Buy a little house
With a small study
Write a million songs
Living by the sea
I need one to work
Then I'll be happy

Sometimes you love me
Sometimes you don't
You're gonna lose me
You'll never know

This song sounds a bit like Oasis. Don't know if that is a good thing. I mean I love Oasis, but you shouldn't really be trying to sound like anyone which I don't usually! Anyway its about wanting to retire early, poor, grow your hair and just write songs, in a perfect world eh! Apart from my hair is grey now in places so I would look like a hippy badger
