Members hail from Boone, North Carolina. The music of Rainbow Kitten Surprise, also known as "RKS", is known for its harmonies, instrumentation and lyrics, and its sound has been influenced by artists Modest Mouse, Kings of Leon, Frank Ocean and Schoolboy Q.
