I always found this song fascinating. The lyrics sound simple, but the music is very deep. I believe the sound emphasizes a paranoid man alone watching T. V and idolizing a cartoon character, Mighty Mouse who to him is the "TV Ceasar." T. V Ceacer doesn't suffer from what this man does. The singer, Gary Brooker was an expert at portraying these emotions. What T. V Ceaser does not suffer from, the man in the room does. Procol Harum was notorious for conveying these images in songs and had the full envy and respect of John Lennon.
