I'm on the wrong side of heaven, and the righteous side of hell
Wrong side of heaven means that they were fighting for freedom or a good cause but the way it was being carried out was an evil way, and righteous side of hell pretty much means the same thing but its a righteous evil to kill in a war if its for what you believe. It can also mean the return home after the war. Wrong side of heaven could mean they came home and are treated highly but suffer from PTSD or trauma. Righteous side of hell could mean in the war was hellish but it was a righteous cause.
