The chorus is a condemnation of a judgemental church that doesn't recognize love in all it's forms as uplifting to the human condition and is meant to be read as sarcasm. "Worship like a dog at the shrine of your lies" means unthinking acceptance of a flawed dogma; "tell you my sins and you can sharpen your knives" means confess sexual digressions and be judged; and "deathless death" is another way of saying eternal life which is what the church offers. I read "Good God let me give you my life" as a sarcastic rejection of the church.
