Jack is the pumpkin king. He's is well know for his talent and his ability to scare. He can make a person scare a grown person with a lack of effort "with the slightest little effort of my ghost like charms, I have seen grown men give out a shriek". He craves a new style of celebrating, which is why he feels empty because he already has the crown as the pumpkin king. He feels like there is more than just being what he is so great at. No one would understand how he feels because they aren't the best like him, because he has experienced the full effect of Halloween while the others just follow him hence them still having the hunger and strive to be better but jack doesn't.
