I agree that Jesus never became a sinner. However, He did bear, or carry, our sins. Compare Isaiah 53:6--"All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned, every one, to his own way; and the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all." Yes, the Father actually placed our sins upon Jesus! We could say that Jesus carried the guilt and the punishment for our sins, but He never participated in sin nor was corrupted by it. (Otherwise, He would no longer be the pure sacrifice!) Compare also 2 Corinthians 5:21, quoted above. It's simply a matter of understanding what "bear our sins" means.
