The biggest problem in humanity is selfishness, even among Christians. If we (he's talking to Christians) look beyond ourselves to those who are going to hell, a change of attitude, our selfish problems will be solved. And how can I be unselfish and love unbelievers? By focusing on Christ and following Him.
Our own salvation (personal redemption) can't change the world unless we share it and His love with others.
