For me this song means that they had a break-up. And it was like a nagging contest! The boy broke-up with her. The part "wake up and smell the break up" means remember "what happened?!" "fix my heart, put on my make up" means that she has to get out as if nothing happened, it didn't really matter, you won't show what's inside of you, you won't cry and all.
