My mother passed away March 21 2009. It was not expected and I am still in such temendous pain. The first time I heard this song it reminded me so much of my mom. I can almost see her "flying up to heaven on the wings of angels". It gives me a sense of peace through all the pain of missing her. Thank you Alan for writing a song that touches people in a very special way.
