It's gonna take a little time a little time take a time take a little time to forget you
The nights I cry over you baby are more than just a few
Soon that'll be over and I'll love you no more I'll fine somebody too
It's gonna take a little time a little time take a time take a little time to forget you
It's gonna take a little time to become and custom to your kisses uh huh
It's gonna take a little time for me to forget you but I'm gonna forget you uh huh
[ ac.guitar ]
My heart could go on a lovin' you baby and keep me feelin' blue
I've gotta buckle down to the problem at hand make myself to forget you
It's gonna take a little time a little time take a time take a little time to forget you
It's gonna take...
It's gonna take a little time uh huh

My name is J L Dickens and Larry Kirby and myself are original writers on this song and the Wilburn Brothers are the original publishers. Our song has been butchered by someone who changed some of the lyrics. Listen to the Wilburn Brothers sing the song and you will hear the original lyrics. The song may be in public domain now but that is no excuse for fraudulent use of the song and theft of writers and publishers rights.
