It’s All In The Game…..Tommy Edwards

Many a tear have to fall
But it’s all
In the game
All in the wonderful game
That we know as love
You have words with him
And your future’s looking dim
But these things
Your hearts can rise above
Once in a while he will call
But it’s all
In the game
Soon he will be there at your side
With a sweet boquet
And he’ll kiss your lips
And caress your waiting fingertips
And your hearts will fly
(Chorus) Soon he’ll be there at your side
(Solo) With a sweet boquet
Then he’ll kiss your lips
And caress your waiting fingertips
And your hearts will fly

I remember this song from the 50's. It came on the radio one day when I was a little girl, my Dad took my hand and led me through a dance. My Dad passed away 15 years ago, whenever this song comes on it brings back fond memories...Dby

One of my all-time favorites too. Had a hard-time getting to hear the song again until the advent of the internet -- and lyricsmode and youtube. - Ted F.

This is one of my all-time favorite songs. I have an LP that has the song on it. I was a teen in 1958, and had just been dumped(unceremoniously)by a guy I truly loved. It took many years for me to get past the broken heart it left with me. I absolutely to this day, love to hear Tommy sing it. I was so sorry when I later learned he had died. He had a wonderful voice, so mellow and smooth, and sang the song so beautifully. I wish he were still here, to bring more lovely songs to "life"...Norma
