Far More lyrics

In my oppinion this song is about friendship, which ends when both sides realized there is something more but they're not too brave to say it loud. They know inside they're in love, but they don't want to change anything, no matter who will they have in their life, there will always be a shadow of their feeling which they didn't admitt! It's far more they could handle...

If we read between the lines, maybe this song really speaks, not of some unfortunate love, but of artistic inspiration and the creative process of writing songs itself. He starts as a love song - I love you and I miss you, but then he gets stuck, what else is there to say...He has no inspiration, it takes far more to complete the song than this supposed, or ordinary love. At night, when the TV subsides, he hears the song in his head and makes changes in keys and meanings. To finish up, the author has many ideas, but they are all a coordinated mess, so well rehearsed, because he is not truly inspired by his love.

The girl is leaving, but she's done it many times. They get back together, but they're just like small meals, to suffice the heart, and then they part ways again. But since they keep getting back together, the hope of getting back together never discipates because they are afraid of "falling in the ocean," or having to "find another fish in the sea." Get it?

The girl tells the guy she needs time to grow, obviously, and he says "how long do I have to wait?" He pretends that his body is his, because he wants to move on, but ultimately, he knows his heart is hers. But he's not going to get jealous if she sees someone else, because it would be the right/healthy thing to do.

It's like a well-rehersed disaster. They've done it all before, but everytime they say it's going to be different, and it always ends the same... They try to distract themselves, but everytime one of them changes, it feels like everything is different. That's why they try again.

Even though he knows it's not healthy, he can't help but to miss her, because he loves her. And he wants to tell her. Even though he knows what will become of it...
