I bless the day I found you
I want to stay around you
And so I beg you, let it be me

Don't take this heaven from one
If you must cling to someone
Now and forever, let it be me

Each time we meet love
I find complete love
Without your sweet love what would life be

So never leave me lonely
Tell me you love me only
And that you'll always let it be me

Each time we meet love
I find complete love
Without your sweet love what would life be

So never leave me lonely
Tell me you love me only
And that you'll always---let--it—be--me

Who identified the writers? According to Wikipedia, "The score was written and first recorded by Gilbert Bécaud. The lyrics were penned in French by Pierre Delanoë. The English language version used lyrics by Mann Curtis."

The Everly Brothers are my 6th cousins. And Don Everly's daughter Erin married Axl Rose for a year; making him my ex-6th cousin once removed in-law.

Scott Harleman.. You mix two different songs here," let i be" was first recordedby gilbert becaud, it was a french song original, and later paul inthe beatles translated it and it became famous under the title let it be, but this one is the everly brothers with the song " let it be me"!
