Such a little girl...such a hard life
She could look a challenge...right between the eyes
Disappointment...would become her middle name...
Up against the wall, Jane
So her nights became nightmares...
As she fought for their souls
And the days became worse...
For the ones she had lost
Children of the world...
The forgotten chimpanzee
In the eyes of the world...
You have done so much for me

CHORUS:
There are angels...here on earth...angels
There are angels...here on earth...
Angels...sent from God
Come away from the wall...stay with us
Well you can, Jane

So she watched as they put them all into cages
Well they might as well have caged her very own baby
They might as well have put us both into prison
Through a window...all our sorrows...
Would become our only visions...
Nothing more

CHORUS:
There are angels here...angels
There are angels here on earth...angels
You will never feel...that you have ever done enough
But you have, Jane

Such a little girl...such a hard life
You could look a challenge...straight between the eyes
Disappointment...would become her middle name
Up against the wall, Jane
Nothing more than the shadow of a man
Come away from the wall, Jane
Well they might as well have put us both into prison
Come away...if you can, Jane
Through a window...all our sorrows...
Will become our only visions
Come away, Jane...
Come away...come away if you can

In the eyes of the world...you have done so much

She did all she could do to help the chimpanzee and felt maybe she could have or should have done more. But the important thing is she's done more than she knows and maybe the only ones that can objectively praise her is not herself, but those whom have witnessed her immense love and sacrifice and the very same whose lives have been touched by her and most significantly and importantly the chimpanzee. It's time to come away from the wall that contains the chimpanzee and more importantly the metaphorical 'emotional wall' that contains her from moving on from the frustration and helplessness that she feels from others not doing their part and ultimately not giving the species their right do in this world(freedom, respect, honor and their own place both territorily and spiitually)you have done more than any one person. Hold your head up and know if nothing else ;you;ve done so much for us all--god's creatures. It's tme to abandon our sorrows, hold on to hope and appreciate our works. Perhaps the writer meant to express their need to see jane free herself from the frustration; appreciating herself and her efforts. Along with this idea, the writer may too have wanted for jane, and herself, for jane to liberate herself from that 'wall' and spend some time, even more time, with humanity so we can all reap her presence and wisdom even though we may at times seem less worthy . An angel she is... Thank you jane... I speak for us all. The world's a better place even if we can't always see it. Maybe it's time for us to take care of you...
