Yeahhh
Yeahhh

You made up your mind (mind, mind),
Right before the sound can move softly from your lips.
You leave behind (behind, behind),
A choice which once before you thought you could not resist.

You give what you have when you,
Decide that you,
Keep burning like fire,
It's burning you down!

Sometimes they say this should feel something like fire!
'Til it burns you and you can't,
No, you can't remain the same!
Stay the same, stay the same, stay the same.
I can't change.

You're losing your light (light, light),
Everything that was yours just does not exist.
So don't even try to say (try to say),
Sorry for the things in life that you might have missed (might have missed).

You give what you have when you,
Decide that you,
Keep burning like fire,
It's burning you down!

Sometimes they say this should feel something like fire!
'Til it burns you and you can't,
No, you can't remain the same!
Stay the same,
Although you know
They say this should feel something like fire,
No, I can't change!

Do what you wanna do,
Keep building it higher, keep burning it down.
You lose who you are when you,
Keep burning like fire, like it's all around.

What do you have to prove? I'll die for you!
Keep burning like fire, it's burning you down!

Sometimes they say this should feel something like fire!
'Til it burns you and you can't,
No, you can't remain the same!
Stay the same,
Although you know
They say this should feel something like fire,

'Til it burns you and you can't,
No, you can't remain the same!
Stay the same, stay the same, stay the same!

I think this song is simply about when someone is dependent on something or someone hence "A choice which once before you thought you could not resist". Then they either have to change their way, like addiction to drugs, alcohol, self-harm, exc. or have to end the relationship they are in. And the "fire" is either the bad side effects of their addiction or relationship, or the cravings and/or withdraw for what they had before. And "What do you have to prove? I'll die for you!" Is like the other person in the relationship trying to keep them, or their loved ones trying to get them to stop doing what they are doing because it's only hurting them. I think they basically wrote this song for a lot of people to relate to when they're in a low place and trying to change their lives for the better. I think that's why they put it to such a great riff, to make it sound really inspirational and that's why it's such a great song, it's very relate able and has just an amazing sound.

O think it's about a girl who breaks up with a guy then the guy finally moves on and so much cooled or hotter and the girl feels bad that she missed out and she asks him out and he says no, "and you can't stay the same" as in he wont take her back because he has broken him before or they break up and they try to be friends and he goes out with another girl and fire is jelousy

I agree that it is about a relationship, but i think that the "fire" is referring to love. You feel great about it until it burns you and after it's gone you can't go back. At least that's what i hear.

I think that the song means that maybe its about a relationship, and the girl left him and now hes saying its a choice you cant go back on and shes going to miss out on what he couldve gave her. Leaving her with a feeling of "fire" (maybe referring to jealousy? )
