Well i am not 100% christian because i don't like everything in religion, but i strongly trust in god. And, well, i'd rather devote this song to a girl. Because it is really possible to have such feelings, described in this song. And god loves us all, it is true and it is awesome!

I am 100% sure this is a christian band. Anyone who says otherwise must've never gone to a skillet concert. Just because their lyrics can be taken to be about romantic love does not mean that it is not christian. This song was most likely written about god but was written in a way that can reach out to non-christians. Skillet's mission field is at the concerts they play in with many non-christian bands. They write songs that get them a following that most other christian bands cannot get by making their songs not in-your-face blatantly obvious christian songs. Then they tour with non-christian bands and have a very moving message that they share with their fans. However, anyone analyzing their lyrics from a christian standpoint can see that they are very powerful for god's purpose.

Seriously, if it has to be debated whether or not the song is about god or a girl, we ought to ask ourselves if this type of song ought to be considered christian at all. Look at the psalms. Which of the 150 psalms leaves any doubt as to whom it is about? True christian songs do not leave any doubt about god. Reconsider what you listen to folks. This stuff is not of god. Find some good hymns or spiritual songs that teach about and worship god clearly "in spirit and in truth" (john 4:24).

This song is about god but when you first hear it it sounds like love nothing godie... To be honest i dont really believe in god im not athesist or a satanic worshiper bot i dont have a religion at all idk why im sayin this to you guys but dont judge me... So may people have already...

I can't believe that they ignore the fact that god has the strongest love, and our strongest love goes to god, not man. No man can love a person as strong as this song. There is no greater love more than god. We do not know the hearts of man, so why would we give our hearts to our husband or wives? We let god in our hearts and than we give it to someone else? A real true love relationship notices that you don't need each other hearts to love someone. The more we know god, the more we love him. The more we know a wife or husband, the more we figure out horirble things. There's some things about a mate that is good and some that are bad. The good makes you love them more, the bad makes you doubt. God has no bad in him so the more you know him full the more you love him. I would love my wife with all my heart, but my heart belongs to god. Ever heard of a quote "i gave my heart to my mate and she ripped it up"? Humans or man can do that, god can't. I can't believe that you guys would even miss the point of this song. Tip: christians would understand christian bands, atheists or other religions could misunderstand and think he would be all depressed over a girl. When a christian gets married, they don't plan to break up. Like really -. -, i know this is a handful but the comments leading away from god is like, what on earth gave you to think like that.

it's obviously about god bro, like really. If it was about a girl than he kind of going against who he is suppose to be. "i don't wanna live, i don't wanna breathe, less i feel you next to me". I am willing to be like $600 it's about god. This song would be depressing if it was about a girl, plus he has a fricking wife and is a good christian. Why would he need to greive? The song is about god like most of the other ones, no hands raised.

I think this song is about god being his drug. He cant wake up everymorning with out his dose of god. Also nothing makes him feel as good as god (his drug) i absolutly love this song i listen to it everyday:)

I love skillet, and i know they're a christian rock band, but these lyrics don't sound like they would be about god x: to me, it sounds like it's about a girl. But that's just my opinion. O:
