Rob Thomas – Little Wonders lyrics
Let it go,
Let it roll right off your shoulder
Don't you know
The hardest part is over
Let it in,
Let your clarity define you
In the end
We will only just remember how it feels

Our lives are made
In these small hours
These little wonders,
These twists & turns of fate
Time falls away,
But these small hours,
These small hours still remain

Let it slide,
Let your troubles fall behind you
Let it shine
Until you feel it all around you
And I don't mind
If it's me you need to turn to
We'll get by,
It's the heart that really matters in the end

Our lives are made
In these small hours
These little wonders,
These twists & turns of fate
Time falls away,
But these small hours,
These small hours still remain

All of my regret
Will wash away some how
But I can not forget
The way I feel right now

In these small hours
These little wonders
These twists & turns of fate
These twists & turns of fate
Time falls away but these small hours
These small hours, still remain,
Still remain
These little wonders
These twists & turns of fate
Time falls away
But these small hours
These little wonders still remain

This song is really meaningful and nice. It has captured my heart since I've heard it in the movie 'meet the robinsons'. This song means that problems and hardships in life can mold us into better persons. We cannot turn back time to change those low moments into a happy one, but we should learn to let them go and let them serve as an inspiration for us to live a new and better life. In the end we will not have any regrets because if we did not taste those bitter moments, we will not realize how sweet life is.

Someone posted that Rob Thomas wrote this about his dog. Actually, it could be about anything. Anything moments in life that make you realize it is all the small moments, the "twists and turns of fate" that add up to the gloriousness that IS life! If they're trials, difficulties, then cling to one another to get through them. But in the end, let the bad ones slip away and focus on what is beautiful and good and brings you joy!

Yesterday on Facebook Rob Thomas says he wrote this song about his dog Tyler. He referred to Tyler as he and Mari's (his wife) first son. He always travels on his tours with his wife and their two dogs. Yesterday would have been Tyler's birthday. "Rob Thomas: For all those asking, this song was in fact written about our boy Tyler." He also posted a photo of Tyler.

Well, this is not so much of a meaning, as it is a description of how it affects me: my mother died May 16, 2007. This song came on the radio as we were driving to see her (in hospice). This song just registered with me; it tore me down, and then propped me up. I still get very emotional when I play it... Great song.

I kept hearing the lyrics to this song in my head one day about a month after my father passed away from vascular dementia. I always liked it but hadn’t listened to it in a while. I played it and began to sob because I always believe and always told my mother that it’s the small things in life that have the greatest impact on others, not the grand gestures and flashy appearances that some seem to focus on. I believe this was a message from heaven of the impact of the moments in time that I spent with my father holding his hand and watching tv while he was bedridden and uncommunicative. It was a powerful validation for me of how that love bond is never broken and that even the smallest and seemingly most trivial kindnesses that we do for others are never in vain. Thank you Rob Thomas for creating this beautiful piece…you never know how your voice and talent on a random Thursday in a supermarket parking lot can touch another’s soul.
