Whenever I hear this song, I cry a little. One of my best friends [who I also happened to be in love with for a long time] considers this to be his and his girlfriend's "song", as it actually fits them absolutely perfectly. While it has that sad connection, I also cry out of joy, not just for Evan and his girlfriend, but because I know have somebody to relate this song with. He's possibly my very best friend, ever, and I love him to death. Even though we don't have anything romantic going on, we both rescued each other, per se, and made each other genuinely happy.
