This song means a lot to me...I've lost my mom to cancer so I want there to be a cure for it...I dont sleep i guess its bcoz im searching for something that im not sure what it is yet...I feel like im drifting away from the world...i walk in circles i search for things that i dont kno what they r...i wish i knew! This song says to me basically that hes just watching the world from the sidelines "shadows", like hes just observing it, the chorus tells me this, also that hes kinda looking for an answer that will help fix the worlds sins, another meaning it sends out is when he sings the second verse he kinda talks about how the "media" and other people encourage stuff even if its wrong and hes resisting, and it gives me a catholic vibe like hes asking God to aid in his search for an answer but hes done sitting on the sidelines so he takes action, thats kinda what this song says to me
