The first time I heard my boyfriend sing this song, I thought he was singing about his relationship with God. The second time I heard it, I thought he was singing about his relationship with me. I still don't know which it is, or if it's both and I don't think I'm going to ask him. Either way it's a beautiful song with a powerful message for both the singer and the listener.
