my dad told me that this song is about his son and how he was taken away from him by the fed. He obviously wants him to come back to him and take away the pain. i definately thought at first this song was about a boy/girl ill-fated relationship but i see what my dad was talking about. Anywayss i love the song! does anyone else see my point?

A guy and I had a very close flirting/friend relationship for several years but never hooked up because of many reasons the main one being distance. He ended up moving across the nation from me. We continued to have a close relationship, but I couldnt handle falling for him and not being able to be with him so I ended it. We did this twice. He has his own lil family which began in less than 6 months(rushed). After we starting talking again(online) I feel as though he feels this way about me and wishes we couldve takin everything back because we had something special. We both have regrets and now have to live with the pain of not being together.
