My interpretation of this song is based solely on my life experience, I know that every person will have something different to say, this is what I feel the song is about

sorta, erika, but not exactly... u gotta live through it to understand what it means to become a disappointment to someone that loved you. that someone claimed to live their lives for you.. to love you unconditionally, uncontrollably... and to let that person down, not by being unfaithful, abusive, or otherwise mean to her, but just... NOT live up to what they built you up to be... this song is, I believe, about that feeling... the feeling of having someone trust their heart to you, and, through no real abvious fault of your own, you destroy that trust... you destroy that love.. trust me, u gotta live it yourself to understand it...

i think it means that when you break up with some one that you really loved you know its harder for them! And that when they cant touch you it kills them cause they know that they hurt you and would rather die then do it again!!
