Words and music by Bob Hartman
Based on Isaiah 40:31

You say you've been feeling weaker, weaker by the day
You say you can't make the joy of your salvation stay
But good things come to them that wait
Not to those who hesitate
So hurry up and wait upon the Lord

(Chorus)
More power to ya
When you're standing on His word
When you're trusting with your whole heart in the message you have heard
More power to ya
When we're all in one accord
They that wait upon the Lord, they shall renew, they shall renew their strength

Jesus promised His disciples He'd give strength to them
Jesus told them all to tarry in Jerusalem
When they were all in one accord
The power of His Spirit poured
And they began to turn the world around

So be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might
Put on all His armor and fight the good fight
In all of our weakness, He becomes so strong
When He gives us the power and the strength to carry on

The method I use is where I have the mdloey planned out first. I'll have the chord progression/riff mapped out, and structure the song accordingly, I. E. Plan out the verse/chorus/etc. Then, i'll hum out the vocal mdloey, and that helps me work out how many syllables are in the line, and I can write lyrics accordingly. Does that make sense? I used to have a method where I'd just write the lyrics and then try to write a mdloey to go with it, but it's not as easy that way.

I went to bed last night feeling very weak and crippled by a situation in my life that I wasn't certain how I can overcome! I heard this song before but never listened to the lyrics. I woke up this morning (26th oct 2011) with this song playing in my head. I came on the web, researched the lyrics and played the song. What encouragement I got from these words! And not only that, I am sooo amazed that the holy spirit knew I needed to listen to these words and even more wonderful, he played that song for me upon my bed when I awoke! More power to ya followers of jesus! We have all we need to win this battle! We are more than conquerors in jesus! Love in christ!

More power to ya! Thank you jesus that you give us more and more power everyday just B/C we are your kids that's what I likee about it, he calls us his kids and we don't even deserve to be called his kids, but it is what jesus done for us that we can go before him in the throne room of god boldly like we have always done it and ask him for what we need, just like your own kid would do.
