Someone I Used To Know
(Jack Clement)

There's a picture that I carry
One we made sometime ago
When they ask who's in the picture with me
I say, just someone I used to know

Just someone I used to spend some time with
Just a flame that's lost it's glow
I don't tell them, how many nights I cry without you
I say, just someone I used to know

Just someone I used to run around with
Just a friend from long ago
But, I don't tell them, how lost I am without you
I say, just someone I used to know
I say, just someone I used to know

I am going through a divorce with someone that has been in my life for almost half of my lifetime. I know that one day we will no longer have any contact since we don't have kids. Kind of sad that this person that used to mean the world to me will eventually be "someone i used to know"
