Nikka Costa – Push And Pull lyrics

Mr. Nothing's got a lot
He's got a lot to say.
He's good at being what he's not,
And gives nothing away.

Another day goes on bye.
And he never speaks his heart,
Oh no no no,
He takes his chance with what he got,
It's too late, now, to stop.

Chorus: You push and pull and struggle with the knot,
That's tying you up while you're fading
You give and you take it, and take what you got.
Round and round till it breaks, yeah.

You push and pull and struggle with the knot,
That's tieing you up while you fade into your life.

Verse 2: Mr. Nothing is late.
He's running out of time. Oh no.
He questions whether chance or fate
Will ever show a sign
He looks to the sky, for a glimpse of what it means
And now it never made, made no sense to him.
Oh no.

Chorus:

To come up with lyrics like this. That had to be some good ish they were smoking. The game is a dangerous one, and while it's a way to be on top, if played correctly, is such a low. Conscience tugging at ya, hypes trying to get at you. One slip and it's over. You either get addicted to the game be it by the money, the honeys or because you got high on your own supply. One can hardly untie the knot.
